National Ilan University (NIU), Taiwan, is now inviting applications for the National Ilan University Exchange Student Program for the Fall Semester 2026.

Chiang Mai University students are encouraged to apply for this opportunity to gain valuable academic experience and engage in cross-cultural exchange in Taiwan.

Program Overview

The exchange program will take place from September 2026 – January 2027 and offers students the opportunity to study in a wide range of disciplines across NIU’s four main colleges:

• College of Bioresources

• College of Engineering

• College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

• College of Humanities and Management

Available fields of study include, but are not limited to:
Civil Engineering, Food Science, Foreign Languages and Literature, Applied Economics and Management, and other related disciplines offered by the respective colleges.

Eligibility and Language Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be currently enrolled students at Chiang Mai University

• Be officially nominated by their home faculty/institution

Language Requirements

Undergraduate Level

• TOCFL Level A2, or

• HSK Level 4, or equivalent

Graduate Level

• TOEIC 550, or

• IELTS 4.0, or equivalent

• Exception: Applicants to the International Business Communication program must have a TOEIC score of 750.

Financial Information

Selected students will receive a tuition fee waiver at NIU.

However, all other expenses—including accommodation, travel costs, insurance, living expenses, and personal expenses—will be the responsibility of the student.

1. Completed Application Form (with a 2-inch photo attached)

2. Study Plan (approximately 300 words)

3. Official Academic Transcript and Certificate of Enrollment

4. Health Certificate (including proof of Measles/Rubella vaccination and Chest X-ray result)

5. Copy of Passport

6. Recommended List from Home University

Nomination and Application Deadline
