2026 Global Challenge for World Heritage Education Innovative Cases (AWHEIC)
Chiang Mai University, through the International Relations Division, has received an announcement from the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Education, in its capacity as the Secretariat of the Thai National Commission for UNESCO, regarding the 2026 Global Challenge for World Heritage Education Innovative Cases (AWHEIC).
The program is organized by the World Heritage Institute for Training and Research in the Asia and the Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO, People’s Republic of China.
This initiative aims to promote innovative approaches in integrating World Heritage education with sustainable development, community engagement, and technological innovation.
Selected cases will receive:
- Certificates of recognition
- Opportunities to join an international network on World Heritage education
- Possible invitations to participate in relevant conferences and knowledge exchange activities
