Call for Applications: Toyo University Exchange Program – Spring Semester 2026
The International Relations Division is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the Toyo University Exchange Program (Spring Semester 2026), taking place from April to August 2026. This opportunity is made possible through coordination with Toyo University, Japan.
Eligible applicants must be Chiang Mai University students, either undergraduate or postgraduate, who have completed at least one academic year and are not in their final year of study.
Students selected to participate in this program will be exempted from tuition fees at Toyo University. However, all other expenses (including airfare, accommodation, living costs, insurance, etc.) must be self-funded.
Interested students must submit the following documents:

A copy of a valid passport

Official academic transcript from CMU (including grading scale and latest academic year results)

A letter of recommendation from a CMU faculty member

One recent ID-style photograph (taken within the last 2 months, meeting COE/student ID photo requirements)

Proof of language proficiency:

Japanese: JLPT N3 or above

English: CEFR B2 or above
If official scores are not available, a university-issued “Language Proficiency Certificate” may be submitted using the designated form.

Bank statement showing funds of at least 150,000 JPY per month (for 5 months of one semester or 10 months for one academic year) – required for COE application via Toyo University Global Services Inc. (TUGS)
