Kyoto University, Japan, is now inviting applications for the Spring 2027 Exchange Program. Chiang Mai University students are encouraged to apply for one of the following exchange opportunities:
- KUINEP (Kyoto University International Education Program) – for undergraduate students only
- GE Program (General Exchange Program) – for both undergraduate and graduate students, consisting of:
- GEA (Special Auditor): Course-based study
- GESR (Special Research Student): Research under the supervision of a Kyoto University faculty member
Program Benefits
Selected students will receive a tuition fee waiver at Kyoto University. However, participants are responsible for all other expenses, including travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, and personal expenses.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled students at Chiang Mai University throughout the exchange period
- Return to continue their studies at Chiang Mai University upon completion of the exchange program
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
- Meet the language proficiency requirements specified by the selected program
Required Application Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
- Recommendation Letter
- Health Certificate
- Statement of Purpose
- Research Plan Essay (if required by the selected program)
- Language Proficiency Certificate
- Academic Transcript
- Copy of Passport
- JASSO Scholarship Application Form (for applicants wishing to be considered for the scholarship)
