Gunma University Exchange Programs 2027 (Japan) – Call for Applications
Gunma University, Japan, is now inviting applications from undergraduate and graduate students (excluding final-year students) for its 2027 Exchange Programs. Students may participate in the exchange for one semester or one academic year.
Chiang Mai University students are encouraged to apply for one of the following exchange programs based on their academic interests and language proficiency.
1. University Exchange Program
The University Exchange Program provides students with the opportunity to study alongside Japanese students by enrolling in regular courses offered at Gunma University.
Most courses are taught in Japanese, making this program suitable for applicants who have attained JLPT N2 or above.
Applicants with JLPT N3 may also apply; however, they will be required to enroll in the Intensive Japanese Program in addition to their regular coursework.
2. I-GFL (Interdisciplinary Program for Global Frontier Leaders)
The I-GFL Program is an international, English-taught interdisciplinary program designed to cultivate global competencies and leadership skills.
The curriculum combines interdisciplinary coursework with field-based activities and experiential learning, enabling students to develop a broader understanding of global issues and international collaboration.
Applicants are not required to have Japanese language proficiency. Instead, they must meet the University's English language requirements, such as:
- TOEFL iBT: 58 or above
- IELTS: 5.0 or above
- TOEIC: 550 or above
- Or an equivalent English language qualification
ICDI may nominate only ONE student for this program.
