ASEAN–China Young Leaders Scholarship Programme (ACYLS) 2026
The Government of the People’s Republic of China announces the ASEAN–China Young Leaders Scholarship Programme (ACYLS) for 2026, offered to civil servants, educational personnel, and staff of educational institutions or universities from both the public and private sectors in ASEAN member countries.
The programme aims to provide opportunities for qualified personnel to pursue further studies or conduct research in the People’s Republic of China, thereby strengthening cooperation and mutual understanding between ASEAN countries and China.
Scholarships Available for 2026

Doctoral Degree Scholarships: 5 awards

Master’s Degree Scholarships: 5 awards

Research Exchange Scholarships: 2 awards
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Be university personnel (priority will be given to those working in international relations or in fields related to ASEAN and/or China).

For Master’s and Doctoral degree scholarships:
-
Have completed a degree at the level immediately below the one applied for, and
-
Be no older than 45 years of age.

For short-term research exchange scholarships:
-
Have a minimum of one year of work experience.

Meet the English language proficiency requirements:
-
Not currently receiving any other scholarship funded by the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
